Welcome at the Campus!

On the 3rd of October the time had finally come: People from all parts of the world flocked to Mannheim! We would like to thank all the speakers who have contributed to the conference with 18 symposia and with more than 40 paper sessions to make the IAEVG Conference in Germany and therefore in Mannheim a full success!
We were able to welcome roughly 500 participants from 40 countries, from all continents at the University of Applied Labour Studies.

We congratulate Giselle Müller-Roger Welter, who won the poster award with her poster called „Reliability in vocational guidance: a longitudinal case study with the Berufsbilder-Test – BBT“.

On Saturday we gave the rod to Montpellier, where the preparations for the IAEVG-Conference are already in full swing!

"We need broad educational and career guidance to improve the performance of our education system and encourage lifelong learning effectively. Good guidance is key to social justice and economic prosperity and secures employment on a long-term basis. In today's globalised world, individual careers are often no longer limited to one country. Careers advice must therefore increasingly include international aspects.
It is a great pleasure for me to be the patron of this conference, which enables national and international experts to exchange views about this important topic."

"Where will you be and what will you be doing in early October this year?  For me the answer is simple; I’ll be in Mannheim at the best international careers conference in the world this year. It’s a bit of a trek for me (37.218 km round trip) but I wouldn’t miss it for anything. See you there!!"

Lester Oakes

President of the International Association for Educational an Vocational Guidance (IAEVG)

"IAEVG International Conferences and the German University of Applied Labour Studies (HdBA) with its unique study program "Employment oriented Career Guidance and Case Management" complement one another superbly. Thus it was not only a logical comsequence for us to host this IAEVG Conference. We thank the IAEVG Executive Committee for their confidence and we are looking forward to an interesting and inspiring exchange of innovative ideas and examples of good practice her at the Mannheim Campus."
